Marshmallow Goals: A reflection

Our activity on Wednesday during advisory was so much fun, we learned how to cooperate with each other and try to understand each others ideas without getting frustrated. We didn't have directions specifically thrown at us, so we had to use our common sense. We had to throw what I call "mushrooms" (which were marshmallows) into these bowls from a certain distance in a certain amount of time. There were different goals for each step. It was an activity I truly enjoyed because we "learned and had fun all at the same time "

The purpose of this game, was to see how we follow NO goals in a certain time period, and they became more clear and measurable after each time. It was good to see how we work as a team when we have stress on ourselves, and with the final goal being to see if we can get all the marshmallows in the bucket under the set time period. As the time decreased, the purpose of the game would get harder, and we'd have to all work together to finish it right on time. At the end we designed our own experiment and we did it in less than 2 minutes!
